Long-form pieces worth sharing coming your way
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of sharing weekly insights, market commentary, and my most self-deprecating anecdotes with all of you.
The positive feedback has kept me going every week, and I’m grateful for the thoughtful engagement.
But looking back on 2024, one thing became clear:
The pace of weekly articles wasn’t allowing me to dive deeply into the topics that matter most. I found myself skimming the surface of too many issues that deserved a more thoughtful exploration.
So, I’ve decided to make a change.
Starting this year, CRE Deal Junkie will shift to a monthly format (and probably get a new name at some point).
This will allow me to deliver longer-form pieces with deeper insights, more nuanced commentary, and a more comprehensive view of the trends, deals, and challenges shaping our industry.
My goal is to make each issue worth a full read, perhaps even consuming an entire cup of coffee. I want these pieces to be worth sharing — ideas you aren't seeing anywhere else that make you think differently about what’s happening in CRE.
But here’s what won’t change:
Actionable insights: I’ll still be pulling from over 20 years in the industry to share lessons from the trenches.
Contrarian thinking: If there’s a consensus view, you can bet I’ll poke it to see where it might be wrong.
More stories: There are countless untold, fascinating stories in our business which I look forward to uncovering, unraveling, and repackaging in entertaining prose.
To those who’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for your trust. For newer subscribers, welcome—there’s a lot to look forward to in this new format.
